    Just for the record, Mrs. H and I had a good look at a bald eagle on the wing as we were driving down I-91 near the Connecticut River (in the vicinity of Windsor, VT) about noontime today :- )

    I had the camera with me but it was inaccessible (plus, I was drivin'...), so no photo.

    I did a four day float on the Grande Ronde river in Oregon last week and was jacked to see numerous bald eagles including one pair tending the nest. They are really impressive and have made quite a comeback. We also saw osprey, kingfishers, all sorts of ducks/geese, elk, deer, and a black bear. It was quite a show.
