Inductor wiring

I already know the answer to this question, at least I pretty darn sure..The big inductors on the back of the SDA 2B's binding post plate cannot be wired wrong can they ? In other words the question would be is the black wire (positive) supposed to go to one particular side of terminal on the inductor and the white (negative) to the other ?

See, Polk did do wacky things like using what ever they had on hand. You already know the coil for the 2B is under the x-over board but unlike your blue and black wires mine were both black and I did tape them from which prong they came off of. But I learned there was no polarity concern w/ mixing the 2. Also you will notice on my right x-over it has a quick disconnect for the tweeters, on the left it has the white and black tweeter leads soldered directly to the board. 2 different x-overs, 1 a tad more updated than the other. .

No polarity issue with the Spool Inductors. BTW Lew, a direct solder connection is, in theory, better than the Mate'n'Lock. Less resistance.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Now that is just plain awesome.. I have already put a silk hat on a pig with these 80.00 speakers as the cabs are pretty beat up however i know that i will continue to make changes / upgrades there is no doubt in my mind.. Love them..

Not on mine....
My bad, I was tired from a long drive from Florida when I asked the question. I was thinking of another speaker, the Polk Monitor 5 I was working on before I left. This is what I was asking the question about...
The Blue and Black wires from the inductor.. -

I would consider this (soldering the leads) after I am done with the upgrades. Sounds like a good idea to me. And another question while I am at it. The plastic standoffs that hold the crossovers in place I do not like at all, is there a better way to mount the crossover (short of mounting them in a different place) in the same place. -
The snap-in standoffs are just OK. When I replace the spool inductors with SuperQs, I discard the spool, and use m4 threaded nylon standoffs, and a new mounting board.
