Iowa nice

Spent a lot of days out here. A lot more ahead of me. But....This is another example of the folks on this forum being a top notch bunch.
We've all heard about Ryan and Robin opening up there home and hospitality to me whilst in Des Moines.
It has only been reinforced here in Davenport.
Good old Steve@gudnoyez, his lovely and funny as hell wife and cool arse grandson have done the very same for me. Steve has even gone above and beyond the call of duty to loan me a killer technics integrated and CDP as well as a pair of AR 18b speakers plus a duffle bag full of cd's. I said no worries, but he said "Hey, you'll have something to listen to when you get off work. Take it."
Wouldn't take no for an answer. I think he may have been a wee bit drunk on Saturday at the bar when the subject came up.
That is one of the many reasons I enjoy this place. No guff and if anyone needs help, no one hesitates to give it.
Shoot! I just met the guy not two weeks ago.
Tip o the hat to another top notch polkie.

Russ if you ever make it to the west end of Iowa, I'm in Omaha. So you, or anyone else on the forum, are very welcome here also. Anyone here traveling across on I-80 and need a place to stop, look me up. Such good folks we have in the Midwest on the PF.

Yeah even after all the warnings like look out, beware, your at risk, madman on the loose, watch your bushes, etc etc. We only opened our doors well because he is a fellow Polkie and even though we were warned, the guy turned out to be the opposite of what's been told of him on that secret PMs that's floating around the forum.

Russ welcome to the QCA, enjoy the time here and when your ready for another batch of tunes give me a holler, now get out there and light this town up with those LED's chance of snow in a couple of days :#

    They all asked about you

The cows asked, the pigs asked
    The horses asked, too
All want to know why to the city

It is exactly about the axe murders. Pretty sure they were interviewed in a movie about the event.
They ( Cody and Rob) moved here around 2002. opened up a local rock club, and helped revive a faltering local music scene. I used to work for them and spent a few trips back to their stomping grounds for shows there and in Omaha.
