PSW505 isn't working right

The sub has been working fine ever since i got it until a friend of mine visted my apartment and switched off a switch that the sub was hooked up to (trying to turn off a light) immediately cutting off power to the sub. Now the sub displays a red light under "power" and it sounds like **** (static sounding). I know for a fact that the sub isn't blown because i've gotten it back to working condition by "warming it up" (ive just been messing with the on and off switch, messing with the volume control, after like an hour of messing around it works like normal) twice. If i leave it on its fine but when it gets turned off the problem comes back, any ideas?
ive also ruled out any possibility of a bad cord because ive replaced them all.
