Nobody wants to buy my RTA-12B's? That's fine. Let the ridiculous rear channel begin.

I fear that would scuff the hell out of the hard wood floors. I could put a towel under them maybe.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Two cheap welcome mats or small rugs could go under the cinder blocks. A very firm foundation!Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

a little short if you really want 3 to 4 inches but I like hockey pucks for decoupling (FWIW).

Im going to wait until I can raise them up a bit and have a day off to judge it but I might just want to keep them. I'm going to try and use the Monitor 4s as front wides, my AVR can send center channel info to them to attempt to raise the dialog from under the TV to the middle of the TV, we'll see how that goes too.
It's a good thing I live alone. No wife would ever approve of my living space. My apartment is absolutely dominated by speakers.
I like it.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

@mhardy6647 I just want to get the tweeters above the line of the couch. They're basically even with it right now.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

It's just their width that seems ridiculous as a rear channel when you look at it.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Your 12s have the original raised base? Make a perimeter box out of 1X6 or 1X8 dimensional lumber or composite material. Slide it over the outside of the original base, and your done. Paint them black if you can find black paint in your area.Home Theater/2 Channel:
