I know everyone who was here when the switch was made remembers the outcry...similar to the clock striking 12:00 in the year 2000:) I must say that while I've obviously gotten used to Vanilla, I still long for the days of vBulletin.

I am really confused. I get some notifications, but not many. With this current thread (as with all) I can click the star and make it yellow, thus receiving notifications, or I can click it again and stop. You are saying that you cannot do this?
As for wanting some notifications, I just open the forum home page, and look for threads with "new posts." Those are threads that I have looked in that now have posts I haven't seen.
