Larry's rings or Hurricane nuts?

dLarry graciously was able send me his rings for my SDA SRS 2s. I already have hurricane nuts and was wondering if it's worth the time and trouble to install them considering I already have the hurricanes. If not, I'd be glad to pass them on to someone else.

I had been meaning to ask someone on here what the difference is

Probably not a huge difference, but the rings are nice.. I'll take the MW driver rings from that kit if you really don't want them.Lexicon RT-10, Parasound P5, McCormack DNA 0.5, Polk SDA CRS+, SVS Sub

I want'em too waaaahhh
I have some 3.1tl's though -
I just did the rings on my CRSs, and was planning on doing the Monitor 10s if I ever get around to the crossovers.... Then I also thought about just using hurricane nuts. As of this minute I'm thinking about selling the 10s and looking for something different...
You can have the rings man.Lexicon RT-10, Parasound P5, McCormack DNA 0.5, Polk SDA CRS+, SVS Sub

The rings are definitely the way to go if at all possible. If not, Hurricane nuts are better than the standard wood screw fasteners.Political Correctness'.........defined

I used the hurricane nuts when the rings were not available. They are fine no issues.Yamaha RXA1030, Yamaha CD-S2100, Yamaha AS-2200, Bluesound node 2i

I thought the rings were easier to install and will not spin. Larrys rings for the win..

I just replaced the Hurricane Nuts in my 2.3TL's with Larry's Rings (Larry wasn't making any Rings at the time I first rebuilt them) and yes I can hear a difference. The imaging is tighter and clarity in the mids is sharper.
This batch of Rings is my fourth set, wouldn't be without them if at all possible. -
I have both, but have only ever installed the Larry Rings, (got in on a fresh run right after I bought the h-nuts). Heck, I even have a set of Larrys Rings for a "future" set of Polks I don't even own yet, but want to and didn't want to be without when/if I finally pull the trigger LOL. That's what she said...
I have four pairs of speakers in the house that have Larry's rings (and nuts!) on them - one set installed by the master himself - and am VERY happy with all of them. So....smoke 'em if you got 'em! I mean...might as well use the rings you have.

use a dab of epoxy glue between the hurricane nut and wood, make sure to tighten before the glue cures, this will keep it in place.
