You are putting together a serious analog source. Can't wait to hear your impressions of the completed project and see some pictures.

    P.S. Don't forget to wear a back brace! ;)

Seeing it where it belongs makes me question doing anything more than polishing it. It really jumps out at you. The table itself took all of ten minutes to set up and level. Very easy to work with, and also very easy to pinch fingers with.

Honestly John you're into the unit at a awesome price. It already looks beautiful as-is, i would enjoy it for now. If later you get a wild hair and want a change the so be it. Just get her singing and enjoy

    Congrats man

So what's the scoop with installing the tonearm, any serious mods for arm boards etc needed????

I think you need to get rid of your center.. it takes away from it lol....

Mount it above the TV, or just go Phantom center... Lord knows the SDA's should be able to handle that

If you mean the cabinet the table is on, it is built into the wall and framed out inside with 2x4's. Should be just fine.

Outstanding choice. I have used an Origin Live Encounter mk3c for the past 4 years and love it. (I actually looked at that AudioGon listing, but .......). I would be happy to share my insights. Presently have a Ortofon Cadenza Bronze mounted with smile inducing results.

I need some help in that department. The current method is a very soft terry cloth towel and a soft microfiber brush, warm water with a couple drops of dawn.
Dionized water rinse and microfiber dry

When you get into this realm of vinyl, cleaning isn't an option.
You're supposed to listen once, throw away, buy new record....in that order.

Looks like there is a RCM in your near future. Life just got more expensive! :D

I didn't notice, do you have a cart in mind already?

John, that is a beautiful piece of gear! I agree with others that it looks great in its current finish. can't imagine needing to change that. Put your coin into things that will make it sound its best. Also agree you need to ditch the center and get an in-wall. I tried phantom center with the 2.3TL's and it just isn't the same.

John, your new table is surely a piece of Art. I'd say shine that bad boy with some Mothers Billet Polish.

    http://www.amazon.com/Mothers-05106-Billet-Metal-Polish/dp/B000COU7LG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453924431&sr=8-1&keywords=mothers+billet+polish

This stuff is easy to apply and buff by hand, and leaves a beautiful finish.
