Vinyl Question - Are Double LP Sets Better Than Single?

I'm seeing some albums listed available as both single and double LP sets.
If both are 180g, is one better (preferred?) than the other? And why?

    Probably one is a 33, and one is a 45. Most say the 45s are better because it leaves more space for the grooves. Or something like that.

    All things equal... there is no real measure of 180g vinyl.... some are better than others it probably has more to do with the engineering and production process of the vinyl itself... I read the reviews as much as I can to see if quality issues are there.

    Yeah, that part is a little interrupty. One of the reasons for my question - I like the tangible engagement but I also just want to listen to music with minimal interruption, especially with albums that are an experience. Maybe a common example would be Dark Side Of The Moon. You wouldn't want to stop that every few songs, right?

    Re: the 33 and 45 - yes, I've noticed this as well. Some of the doubles are still 33, but I do have one album set that's 45. I still haven't thought it through enough to figure out how that works. Seems at 45 the record content would be more spaced out? I don't know how this works or what factors into record quality or "analog resolution".

    Still gotta check out Mike's video link above! I'll do that when I'm looking for an excuse to procrastinate tomorrow.
