Yamaha RX-V1900 AVR For Sale

Great AVR for sale. 4 HDMI inputs, decodes everything but ATMOS, can switch back and forth between front presence and side surrounds. 38 pounds, and sounds like it. 130 wpc in stereo, and Yamahas pretty much always exceed their specs in bench testing, and 5-7 channels driven remains very respectable.

This is a great sounding AVR, in very good condition, with remote, manual, compatible set-up mic (not original), and power cord and will be shipped in a sturdy yamaha box with solid styrofoam.

$225 shipped CONUS via PayPal (please cover any applicable fees). Check or money order from established members.

Lot of value here for not a lot of coin. Beats many receivers you could buy new for twice to thrice as much. Someone should buy this soon.

Yeah this is a serious receiver. This was the last of the high-end RX-V series before it was replaced by the RX-A (aventage) series. It came out in 2010, the rx-a1000 in 2011. Notice it weighs several pounds more.

I have owned almost every major brand of mid-level receiver over the years (denon, harman-kardon, pioneer, marantz) and the yammies are my favorite. Its the only brand the 1. I actually use the DSPs as it really adds some extra punch and expanse to movies and 2. the pure direct really does sound significantly better than the stereo.

I use to love the RX-V models of years ago. I always thought they had one of the very best sounding receivers in the game.
Good luck with the sale although your asking price is nicely low I can't see anyone needing a replacement receiver wouldn't jump on this deal. Also I believe Polk speakers go very well with these models. Very dynamic and clean sounding

IIRC it can be set to very dim, but not completely off.

Very nice AVR at a very nice price!

It goes off in pure direct mode, but otherwise can only be dimmed. The amber is pretty mellow, especially dimmed, so I think this would only be a problem if you have a dedicated home theater that gets pitch black, IMHO...

And yes Mantis, these are very dynamic and neutral. Yamaha's have the reputation of being "bright," but this is due to the entry level models. The mid-higher end models are in a different league.

no problem. On My RX-v992 the display lost a ton of brightness on the parts that were on all the time....then again I left it on all the time:( lesson learned.... My Denon 3805 has never been on except to do what ever needs to be done then off.

Do you still have the RXV-992? Man I so remember those days. I remember the RXV-890 with the external Dolby Digital processor followed by the very mighty RXV-990 when Yamaha built the Digital decoder inside. The 992 had DTS which was the first of it's kind back then. Man I loved those old days. That was when things didn't break, have HDMI issues or anything. You purchased rock solid equipment that lasted for years and years.
I would love to build a museum with all the old gear from the beginning up to todays standards. How cool would it be? It's been a dream of mine for a number of years now.
If I come into a large sum of money, I'm building a Audio Video museum.

Wish I did it was solid and very under rated in wattage. Sadly it developed a problem I could never track down narrowed it down but never could fix. Developed a buzz in pre-out section. It was board level that would of cost 300 or more according to my tech and he was giving me some leeway.
