Long time no post

I haven't been here since 2009. Can't believe I remember my password. The forum looks very different from what I remember (they now have badges, so I may have to just post crap to get some more). Looks like I need to find an avatar as well. I don't really remember anyone, and there probably isn't anyone here that remembers me, But hello all!

+1, I wish more people would find their way back.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Welcome back Pablo, I think I do remember you posting some from back then. I officially joined here in 2009 , but had been a lurker here for a number of years before that. Also used to look on Home Theater Forum site for years before that.

I myself kinda got chased off of the forum by a group of guys who decided they were going to be the "Forum Police" and were going around starting fights with people who disagreed with them or said something that they dind't like.
One new guy was trying to get some information and someone said something that didn't make any sense to him so he asked some questions. One of those guys comes back with a comment that just blew me away.
He told him to watch his tone!
So needless to say that guy disappeared from the forum and never came back.

Friend of mine went to both Santa Clara & Chicago (but didn't save a ticket for me!). Did get a chance to watch the simulcast for the 3rd & the 5th at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester NY. It was a good time. (and forgot to check the site earlier for Phil tickets and it's already sold out for is 76th birthday).

I was able to get the webcast for the Sunday at Chicago. Thankfully, the wife was fine with it and I blasted it on the HT with the 100" screen in the basement and the family all slept upstairs. :)

I'm fairly young and never got a chance to see them live.

OK, so maybe things got out of hand with some people, but honestly I don't really know of that happening very often. I was mostly referring to long-time, high post count members who were extremely active, attended many gatherings/Polkfests/etc. who suddenly dropped off the planet.

I could probably rattle off 10 names off the top of my head who fit that criteria, but none of that really matters anymore so I won't. And I'm not even referring to the exodus of users during the switch to Vanilla in 2014, when it seemed like user names and passwords were lost.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I missed the 4th of July show, but bought my wife the box set for christmas, so we watched it then. But the other ones were fun to see with a bunch of people. I'm fairly old, so I got to see them about 30 times. There's was really nothing like a dead show.
