Krell KAV 2250 OR ADCOM 5802???

Have ran an adcom 5500 and carver m-1.0t powering infinity cresendo's ... liked the carver sound better then the adcom.

I am assuming the Krell will have a more natural sound to it, however I do like the fact that the adcom 5802 is set-up with bi-wiring outputs.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

    5802 will require the isolation transformer in the SDA interconnect cable, or a jumper wire between the negative terminals. I don't know about the Krell.

    Speaking of .... just ordered up the avel 800VA XFMR, enclosure, dynomat, copper foil tape, etc ... Going to see what kind of DIY damage I can do.

    Thinking I'll just go with the dual Carver M-1.0t amps as they are just laying around at the moment. If only I could get the MKII-0002 mod. done! Seems like there is a waiting list of 15 months+. Currently have some crossover issues, so they are getting stripped out and sent in for complete re-work/mod. up grades.

    dynomat, copper foil tape, etc ...

    It's Dynamat and hopefully you got the Xtreme version. Do you plan on using the Dynamat and the copper foil tape in the enclosure?

    Yes, the extreme version of dynomat,lol. Sorry. Correct, copper foil and dynamat extreme for the enclosure ... perhaps "speakOn" plugs??? Or? Getting rid of the pin/blade socket on the speakers and changing out the binding post while I am at it.

    Carver M-1.0t amp, paired with a Carver pre amp C-2 all stock, all good..

    Funny you should mention, Warren!

    I've decided to take the two Carver M-1.0t amps and run vertical bi-amp with bi-wiring. If I have it right, it's one dedicated amp to each speaker, bi-wired.

    Then all that should be left to do is get the MKII opt002 upgrade mod to both amps. Am on the waiting list ... 15 MONTHS LONG!!!!!

    I do have a C-7 preamp, but ... am sure there is something better for a reasonable price. Would like a center and sub output. I know the C-17 has a center channel, but no sub.
