My wife got me my gift earlier this year in the form of my Sony 70 inch 4k set, and my Jaguar XJ, so I got just a cologne set and a couple pairs of shoes.

I sprung for a new Luis Vuitton purse for her... The shock and joy and the happy tears were worth the price. Her wanting to take it back because she does not want me to spend that much on her only confirmed I married wisely. She decided to keep the purse but only if I limit valentines and her birthday this year to cards and flowers.

The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, Mcintosh C2300 Arcam AVR20, Oppo UDP-203 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk Audio Legend L800 with height modules, L400 Center Channel Polk audio AB800 "in-wall" surrounds. Marantz MM7025 stereo amp. Simaudio Moon 680d DSD

New socks. Freshen up the supply every year. Feet stuffed in these clodhopper boots all day and you learn the value of a good pair. Gold toe heavy duty. And an all expenses paid trip to the sunshine state. Crabs.

I got a safe, albeit hazardous, trip to Miss. to visit my in-laws for Christmas. We left NC last Wed. and drove into the heart of the storms coming up from the Gulf. Terrible trip and lots of accidents seen along the way, but we arrived safely.

I hope everyone else travelled safely and had a great Christmas.

Amen brother, having worn boots most my life too you can't under value what a good pair of socks brings to the table.

Parents gave me some cash. One twin gave me a book about the making of "Back to the Future" the other a Fender Bass guitar. GF gave me the newest Drivin' n' Cryin' record a coffee mug that says: "Meh the answer to all questions" and my sister gave me some Star Wars ornaments. I gave the GF some Victoria Secret attire to wear and some earrings. All in all a great Christmas.
