Will a CSI-A6 center work with SDA-1C's?

Recently purchased a sealed box of SDA 1C's. They are replacing my RTI-A9's. Power wise, I have Emotiva's reference series XPR-2 and my receiver is the Onkyo Tx-NR5007. I plan to listen to music in two channel stereo mode but am hoping for movies, the CSI-A6 will work out ok with the SDA-1C's. By the way, my subwoofer is the Polk Micro-Pro 4000.

  • The CS-400 or 400i might be a better match.I used one with my SDA-1C's quite successfully. Polk told me to get it.
  • The A6 WILL work however. They're just different vintages and different sonic characteristics from different times.

CS350LS works well too if you want to stay vintage...
  • I found a nice CS350LS to use with my 2bs they sound great together. Prior to the CS350 I was using a CS10 bad combo there.

  • Golfing I cannot recommend replacing the SL-2000 tweeters with some silk dome RD-0194's highly enough!! They are an order of magnitude better.Call Polk and tell them you are a forum member and you will get a discount.
I did it with my 1C's and also with my Monitor 5jr's.They eliminated a midrange coloration I was hearing with the 5JR's mounted high up on the side walls believe it or not.
Now that I have the SDA-SRS 3.1TL's, I replaced the SL-3000's with the RD-0198 tweeters.
My 1C's are up for sale now after 20 years of happy times (*sniff*)
