Heard it was gonna be in the 50's today in Maine. Well ive been sick as a dog & probably got phenomena-nothing unusual - but that didnt stop me from going for a 10 mile ride around my area :) got home & its 56 out. The only reason i came back is im waiting for mailwoman to show up & hopefully with a package with goodies in it :)lrb0g6cgqbxy.jpeg

    I've got a toy run to do tomorrow and they are calling for rain and in the 50's.We go rain or shine so I will have to breakout the rain gear.We got poured on last year so it looks like we will again.

    Im not in the United Bikers of Maine which holds the annual Toy Run but we participate each year. Its usually in Sept on a Sunday also & its a great event. Wife & i really enjoy buying a gift & we know its going to a good home. My wife works at hospital & is doing Christmas for 2 families this year. She enjoys it alot & i get stuck going shopping with her

    We aren't affiliated with anyone either but have been doing this run for about 20 years .This is the Ellis County Toy Run (outside of Dallas)and then we do the big one for Tarrant county.It is a great feeling to see all the kids that benifet from it and the people that park on side of the highways to watch all the bikes.10,000 plus bikes sounds like an earthquake when you get them all fired up.

    We love the whole day of events. We tend to meet up with 6-10 of us & ride together. Stop for good eats & have a great time. They use to meet at the State Capital in Augusta Me & now they have it at the Windsor Fairgrounds which i like better. Well i hope you have a safe ride & enjoy yourselves tomorrow. Dodge the rain drops. Gotta open up a couple of boxes of goodies :)

    56 here at ca. 3:30 pm; sunset was gorgeous, too (but really quick, so no photos).
    Our sunset is ca. 4:12pm now.

    EDIT -- heh, when I saw the thread title, I thought that it was a birthday observation :-P I remember being 56... it was only a year ago...

    My David. Sweet. Im bout to ask a zillion questions. Maybe know more when i tinker with them. Little overwhelming when i unpacked it all & then to see 2 new woofers to boot. Need to get myself better first & got other projects on the burner too. CRS's arent even at this property. Down in the homestead basement down to the islands. Still working on the house

    Can't complain about the weather (yet), this year. I'm hoping that the 30 or so miles to the coast will eventually be "under water", that winter will go away, and my house will almost be beachfront property? Probably not in this lifetime.

    I believe we spoke about that group of older bikers who meet at the Burger King down the hill from me [occasionally], Randy. Seems like a nice club, or whatever.

    Some NICE looking crossovers there. I have to attend to that as well, but a daughter in college, a dead car, and a few other matters currently have my attention.

    Cnh. Dont say that lol. Im rehabbing the homestead in Orrs Island & i might cry. Especially after i didnt hire out on the freaking sheetrock mudding & sanding. Man that stuff is no fun. Plugging along on days i can get over there & materials arent cheap
