After a few PM's with F1 Nut I've decided to build a set of mass loaded stands. Here's is most of what I need except for some scrap plywood and the play sand which I have in the garage already. More pics to follow.

1/2'' plywood sandwiched together. Needs to be cut to size when glue is set.
Tops are cut to size and run thru the router.
Drilling 1/2'' holes recessed 1/16'' for vinyl bumpers so the speakers stay in place.
Bottoms cut to size and run thru the router.
Installing T-nuts on bottom for whatever. No decision made yet.

I still need to drill and countersink for the 3/8'' all thread and use 180 grit wet/dry sand paper to take the shine off of the PVC tubes. Once that's done it's time to paint. I'm fortune-it to have such a warm day in December here in the Pocono's.

You are the man my friend, those look great and I can't wait to see the end result!
Would you be interested in making a pair to sell for a profit? I need a pair for my surrounds in my loft, about 28" tall. Just wondering...
I would be curious also... need a pair for my 703s
