Just got these cheap & dont know much about them. As you can see from photo the foam in port slid out & i
just slid it back. Not sure where proper spot is suppose to be. So i thought id ask b&w fans. Havent had chance to listen to them yet but looking forward to it. Anyone heard this model before. They did come with very little stands which will not be used for these & at this point im not sure what im gonna do with them

I have the cdm1nt's and love them. Some think the tweeters are a little hot but they don't bother me.I think what you see in the port is just a plug that came with them for tuning purposes.I believe it just pulls out. I have 4 of them and the center channel and use them for home theater. They open up with lots of power behind them2 Channel

So. Should i just remove them ? I will hook it to my amp & give them a listen later on. They were hooked to a Denon receiver since new. So maybe some amp juice will make them dance. Thanks for info..

They are to tune the bass output.I never used them.I really don't see why you would want to reduce the bass in a set of bookies with them.2 Channel

Well. I hooked them to the Denon dra95vr @85wpc they lived with & they sound pretty darn sweet. Gonna listen to them a bit later more. Gonna dump the receiver & play around with the b&w's for awhile. I will toy around with the foam baffle..

I ran them with my McCormack DNA 0.5 deluxe and they really opened up.I also picked up the Ampino from Skip and they really sound great with it.Tames the highs a little bit.I am eventually going to replace the ones I use for surround and use them in another two channel setup.Have fun with them If you got them dirt cheap you scored some great speakers in my opinion.2 Channel

Wow. You stole those puppies. I gave 400 for the 4 of mine with the matching center and a rel strata iii sub and they are the only speakers that I have brought home that the wife loves and told me I can't ever get rid of them. But of course the other speakers I brought home were some 1.2tl's 2.3tl's and 3.1tl's..Not so much love from her on them.2 Channel

My wife is the same. She sorta likes the Lsi7's in bedroom & the only other speaker i know she liked were Bose 201 & 301's. They tend not to like big speakers..

Terriffic buy. I also have cdm 1mt and cnt center. I havent found a bookie yet to displace them.

I used to have the floorstanding versions of these. You will have to play with that bass plug and hear if it makes a difference for you. I didn't use them. Great price by the way.

Im gonna keep them for a bit. Looking for some nice stands w/spikes & rotate them around the gear a bit. The good thing is they are small but big & can be put up easily if not in use..

Crazy deal, I wish I could stumble on one of these killer deals. I never ever find them. I would love to buy killer speakers like the CM1's for that kind of pennies YES you Stole them.
You need good clean power to actually hear what the CDM1NT's can do. This is a time when B&W was amazing. I loved this time period of speakers. I have installed countless pairs of them in my times and loved them every single time. We always did either B&K or Rotel with this line and I really enjoyed the results. When you put them on lesser quality equipment, they actually sound awful as you get to hear how poor your gear really is. They have no Mercy on the weak.
Do yourself a favor and seek out a Rotel amp, you will love the synergy and how damn good they sound together. I suggest a RB1070 or the RB1080Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Well this is what i think !!!! Closed my eyes as Jim was in the room playing for me last night with the lights off & volume dial near maxed

Love BW, I am a fan.
I bet those sound real good.
I like my pair of Diamonds... wouldn't trade them for much else at their price point... other than the newer D3. *droool*....Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -
They sound very good. Got a good 6+ hrs on em. I was shocked because i had some older b&w dm small bookshelf something or nothers & didnt quite catch my fancy. I think these might be a step up. Im looking for some nice stands w/spikes & i cant wait to rotate them around some. Gonna try them on the tube int amp. I watched a utube video & it was very impressive. Probably some better gear but i will get there someday..

.....$20 bucks... Why can't I get deals like that.
B&W wants all the power. Get them to 135w+ each and they will sound awesome.
