Selling this mean and hungry monster, it's 250 watts per channel of incredible Krell power into 8 ohms, 500 watts per side into 4 ohms. Awesome combination with SDA's. I had it re-capped at the Krell factory two years ago, and other than the small scratch on the face shown in close up photo, she's clean.

Asking $2200, plus shipping. This is a heavy piece, about 70 pounds, and won't be cheap to ship. If you're close enough to Tampa, Florida I would love to do this piece in person and not ship it, and would be willing to drive up to 4 hours to meet up in the middle.

PM with inquiries. Thanks for checking out the post.

Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

No Krell love around? She's a killer amp.

I also have the paperwork from the Krell factory showing that they re-capped it. There was nothing wrong with the amp, but I lived close enough to the Krell headquarters that I could just bring it in and pick it up. So knowing that I was going to be moving away, I decided to get it serviced while I could do so without any shipping.

Punch is an understatement! She's a mean, hungry beast!!!

This is really the first time I've ever been selling off a piece of gear that I truly loved. I thought I'd own this one forever, but now that I've moved into a much smaller space, the new integrated amp I just got makes too much sense for my needs. Even my wife was in favor of the new purchase, simply on the basis that it allowed me to sell so many other things. She's just happy that net/net a lot of equipment is leaving the apartment.

    .

Plenty of love, but the last thing I need is an amp that would turn my wife into a killer.

If anyone is interested, I do have the paperwork from Krell showing the re-cap work. I just didn't post a pic of it because it has my contact info on it. Also shows that I purchased a factory box for this beast, because the original one got soaked in a flood. I would never ship this thing in anything other than the factory foam!

Also should note that when the piece goes on Krell's bench, it gets fully tested to be performing as-new. So if anything besides the cap job (and the cap job didn't even "need" to be done) was needed, it would have been discovered. So other than the tiny scratch on the face of it, this amp is like new.

Yes. This is another one of those pieces of gear that I'll be sadly waving to on the way out the door. "Bye-bye, I'll miss you!"

Awesome piece of gear, a guy on Head-Fi in Phoenix bought it. Fortunately I completely love the new integrated amp, which softens the blow considerably of letting this one go.
