Noticed something odd about my 2Bs.

Normally when I use my 2Bs to listen to music I sit in the center of the sofa so I'm in a triangle with the speakers to get the best SDA effect and they sound great.

When I use my 2Bs to watch TV I sit on the left of the sofa and adjust the balance knob so the sound of voices appears to come from the center of the TV. That way I can grab drinks, food, whatever from the end table easily. The sound is OK but not up to par with listening to music. I've always blamed the degraded sound on the signal from the cable box. Just for the hell of it today I disconnected the interconnect cable while watching TV. With the cable disconnected and sitting on the end of the sofa the sound seems to have more clarity and tighter bass. Maybe even more bass. I guess that is normal because sitting off center on the sofa with the balance twisted toward the right probably does crazy things to the timing of the SDAs normal operation. Just wondering what you guys think?
