Picked up some monitor 5 A's last night, 50 bucks, and in awesome shape.

    Anyone in so cal good with these things, a refresh on the electonics inside would be awesome, caps, resitiors, binding posts(i have a set of cardas ready to go) but I already love them and the sound great. Surprising to me, the bass rolls off smoother, but with less volume than my 5jrs. Cabs are in great shape, fuses are good(dusty). I have them hooked up to my 3490, with aq 16/4 cables, but I used 1 full cable per input, so 4 16awg into each nanner, and aq silver played copper nanners all around. Paired with an RBF 1010 Sep sub, in a small concrete room(not much I can do to treat the room, navy won't let me. I make do with my area, and enjoy it nonetheless.

    Btw, sound great on the para, room definitely isn't optimal, but it is what it is. Also, I need a longer sub cable now, lol. Looks like my monoprice has to come out of the car.
