AVR for Polk RTI A7's

Hello all,

just bought two Polk RTI A'7s to start building my audio system, and I was wondering if the Pioneer Elite VSX-80 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver is a sufficient AVR to power them. I'm a bit strapped for cash so I'm looking for value. Thanks for any help.

Are you building a 2 channel music system or an HT system?

Yes that receiver will drive them, not to their best ability though. For HT use, that receiver should suffice but for music listening better options are out there.
    HT SYSTEM-
    Sony 850c 4k
    Pioneer elite vhx 21
    Sony 4k BRP
    SVS SB-2000
    Polk Sig. 20's
    Polk FX500 surrounds

    Cables-
    Acoustic zen Satori speaker cables
    Acoustic zen Matrix 2 IC's
    Wireworld eclipse 7 ic's
    Audio metallurgy ga-o digital cable

    Kitchen

    Sonos zp90
    Grant Fidelity tube dac
    B&k 1420

No man I'm not feeling that receiver for the RTIA7's. Yes it will make sound but I feel if your strapped for cash go used and get a SC model. They have way more power and will power the RTIA7's wonderfully.
I'd look at the SC-65. You will get a better deal on that then a new VSX-80.
