    She's handling chemo pretty well given her age. They now want to augment with radiation. The cancer is in 1 lung, and my Oncology nurse sister tells me, there is a possibility that she could beat this--but she adds caution about being too optimistic as she is well aware with her 15 years of oncology clinic experience. Mom's biggest problem is getting around; as she also has leg/feet issues that bring alot of pain even when she's otherwise healthy.

    Appreciate all the prayers and well wishes everyone. It means more than I can express to have your support. We're a positive-minded family, but we're also realistic about Moms challenges; and at times we are all shocked that both Mom & Dad have made it this far.

    She would LOVE that. I get a kick out of her and her snacking routines. Every evening she fills the basket on her walker (funny right?) with chips, candy, a chocolate milk, and mixed nuts---then wheels off to her room to watch TV. She's always been a late night snacker.
