Like many smaller manufacturers, Polk's product specs (in the broadest sense) were rather a moving target in the early days.
In fairness to Polk (and everyone else that made many run-time changes to their products) the product literature often had a disclaimer that said something to the effect of "specifications subject to change without notice". -
