SRS SDA 1.2TL Tweeter upgrade

My speakers are all original, and still have the SL3000 tweeters. I have read that it is worth the time and money to upgrade these. I have found a website that sells both the RD0194-1 and the RF0198-1. I believe that the proper order would be for 8 of the RD0198-1, but I just wanted to clarify. The documentation doesn't really state this with enough certitude to remove all doubt.

Also, thoughts on the upgrade itself would be appreciated.

First, I'd order them direct from Polk Customer Service, mention you're a member here and you'll get them with a discount (free shipping I think). Others may correct, but I believe replacements for the SL3000's are always RDO-198s. Congrats and welcome to the Forum!

I just ordered them direct from Polk at $48/each, while my other source here in the Midwest had them listed for $60/each. I have to say that I am quite impressed that Polk still actively supports a product it produced over 25 years ago.

And now you understand why some of us here are rabid fans of Polk...I bet there is not to many speaker companies who still support 35+ year old products.
