Out of phase

So I re-ran the auto calibration as I had adjusted the setting to many times and felt the sound was off a bit.

Well after I ran it it said the front mains were out of phase weird.

I ran it again thinking that it was just an error but nope same results.

Checked the wiring everything is good ran it again same same.

My AVR is a Yamaha 2040 and it used Ypao.

Have anyone else have this happen?

Now the front mains sound just sublime so it just the fact that something may be wrong that bugs me.

    Hmmm now that you mention it you may be right I will search it and see if I can find that thread.

    Your lsim are out of phase due to the crossover design. My marantz does this as well, and so did my pioneer. It's normal though, so don't worry.

    Mike I just read a thread by dpowell and he has the same issue. But that's good you guys have the same reading but nothing is wrong with the speakers or the AVR.

    Avrs do a pretty good job. But I ignore them if everything is confirmed hooked up correctly. I've had room reflections cause a speaker to look as though it was out of phase, simply moving it further away from the wall fixed the issue.

    Yep, ignore it dude, won't hurt anything.

    I've been out of phase my whole life, doesn't bother me none. Drives those around me crazy though.

    That depends on who ya ask. LOL My kids are more generous, but the wife would tell you they haven't even discovered a phase yet for me to be in a phase.
