    So my restore is about done and my 2385 is being tested now before repacking and shipping. I will be on travel next week so will probably have it tested for a few extra days. Can't wait to get her back in "better than new" shape...

    That guy seems very sharp in what he does. Mine has been dropped off but I suspect not even looked at yet as the guy is very busy.

    I happened across this guy from Irebuildmarantz who referred me as I think he doesn't like the big ones. I talked to him and checked references and he then told me he had a cancelation and that he could squeeze me in. He is very thorough has ex credentials and not cheap but I wanted it done right and want it to last forever to hand down to my nephew who has special needs and really appreciates audio gear.

    Mine didn't get done, the guy was so super swamped, I just picked it up.
    Good news is, I have a relative in the Nashville area who's coming back over the holidays to visit and knows a place who does work, so he's gonna take it back and drop it off to get it done. That will give me time to "pick" your brain on how yours went, what to expect ect. ect.

    Just got an email from the guy doing my rebuild.

    Pre-wattage bench test came in around 217+/- wps. He's gong to re-verify the specs and "stretch" her legs a bit after everything has a chance to flow/seat properly and possibly make some others adjustments.

    He did tell me if, I ever wanted to sell it, he'd be interested in buying it.
    I kinda chuckled on that one and said "Ok", I'll be sure and let you know.
    That's not gonna happen...

    He also stated, other than a few cold soldier joints needing attention and helping the old girl get her swagger on, the unit was in good overall condition.

    The only bad part so far is, he's nor been able to find an "original" volume knob for it...
