PSW110 - No Sound after 3 years of operation.

I have a PSW110, serial AM113520030 that stopped outputting sound. I have it hooked to an ancient Onkyo TX-DS474 with LFE input. The unit has power and still lights the LED on the back. I did check the fuse and it was good as expected. For troubleshooting I hooked up an iPod to RCA cables (no amp) and put those into the back. The subwoofer did play sound, but at a very low volume even at max volume on the back control and max iPod output.

Since I'm not sure if I have a Receiver problem (it is 16 years old) or a subwoofer problem I'm interested if the subwoofer should have taken the low level input and amplified it significantly. With the LFE input supplied, I hear nothing out of the speaker.

    Welcome to Polk's forum. Either the problem is with the bass amplifier or the 10" woofer. Contact Polk's CS department on Monday at 1-800-377-7655 or via email to polkas@polkaudio.com.
    It would be a good idea to have the unit's serial number and date and place of purchase handy when you contact them.
