I made the trade. FINALLY in the Marantz family.

There is a light out, missing the volume knob and the 15hz push button. The guy's has the push button at his girlfriends house. Unit needs total cleaning but does function.

Skipping dinner out with the family, gonna clean for a while.

Rick, not sure the size, it is the largest of the knobs. She is up and running, at a easy level. A couple more pics.

All other lights work when all button pushed, Heck of a tuner pulling in stations I normally don't get.

For complete transparency, I traded a Technics SLQ 300 for it.
    Hope I did ok.

This one doesn't look like it has ever had a set screw, no marks on the shaft I can see.

My apologies, upon closer inspection, that knob does have a set screw. I have a knob that does fit with the set screw, sadly it is black faced but will work until I can find one.

Thats what I thought. But the guy who had this, had that same TT years ago and wanted to get back into vinyl...I did tell him Marantz go for much more than the TT was worth. Just a right place right time I suppose.. :)
  • Man looking good already! Congrats. :)
  • Let me know when your coming down to see bobby. Might try to free up some time to hang out since it's literally down the street from my house lol..

It's been a few hours running. The static has cleaned up quite a bit but will do a more detailed clean tomorrow.

I hate to act like "giddy school girl" but I really wanted one of these.
I know there is much better newer/vintage out their but for me, this one "on the vintage" side is it.

And as it is, on my 2 B's "even with the goofey" driver in them, it sounds Great! The new 6511 will be here this Tuesday from Polk

I told my wife, now I can finally have a sale to free up some space as I'm pretty much done for now. Although, I did get a "line" on a Akai PS 200M and a PS 200C which would really work well with an old RTR I found.

In closing, I would not have ever even known about the Marantz's or Polks for that matter had it not been for the Great folks in this place..

    THANKS all!!!
  • You better tell me what your selling mate lol....

I'll just pack the trunk up when I schedule Bobby's schedule.

I know you wanted those 11's original boxes right? The ones that came from Ovation in Indy.
  • Lol... I just might want them.... May as well keep working on the collection for them  ....

I finally weaned down the collection myself lol....

So might need to add some more back in heheheh....
