PSW110

Hello everyone,
I purchased the PSW110 in June of 2012 so I believe I am out of warranty by now but I would love some troubleshooting help if possible.
I needed to move my PSW110 powered subwoofer so I unplugged it from the receiver and the 120v source. I moved it away and shortly later put it back in the same place and plugged everything in the way it was (hooked up through the LFE input) and the Low Pass turned all the way up to the LFE position.
Shortly after plugging the 120V back in the subwoofer started making noise on is own even though the receiver was off and sending no signal to the subwoofer (physically unplugged from the receiver). It was a static-y pulsing sound though it was not consistent in the timing of the pulses (no pattern, similar to the sound youd get if you were wiggling a loose headphone wire into an audio jack.
I unplugged the power and waited a few minutes. I tried it again and it started doing the same thing. So I left it unplugged overnight. When I woke up I double checked the wiring and ensured things were correct. I plugged the LFE input back in and the plugged the power on. No pulsing noise. Standby light on. I turned the receiver on, and when audio came out of the other speakers the green indicator light came on and the sub was on. No bass was coming out of the sub though. Volume was at 50% and it was powered on, clearly. About 30 seconds in to the audio from the receiver the pulsing static came back and the subwoofer went unresponsive to any adjustments in volume.
I have since taken the amp plate off and inspected the circuit cards with no smoking gun found. All traces appear intact and the fuse passed continuity.
Any thoughts?!
Thank you

Try the easy stuff first.....like a different sub cable. It's possible it could have been damaged when disconnecting it.HT SYSTEM-

It makes the sound regardless of any signal cable connected. Even when only connected to power.
Even wired it thru the front stereos... Still no sound just static pulses. -
Hello,
In all likelihood the bass amplifier is the cause. Give Polk CS a call on Monday at 1-800-377-7655 or reach them via email to polkas@polkaudio.com. They can certainly help.
