So how many coats of primer does new drywall really need....I sort of already know but....

Only 1.
Prime entire wall. Check with a light bulb, touch up, prime touch up spots, 2 coats of finish for the WIN!

Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!
