PSW250 no sound on speaker input - sound with line input

I have a PSW250 sub woofer that's about 15 year old. It has been hooked up with speaker level inputs but now I get no sound. It works fine when I use line level input. I check the board and all connections seem to be good and I did not notice any burned components.

Any help is appreciated

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. That is an unusual problem. Just as a test try connecting just a single positive/negative speaker wire to either of the inputs.

I tried both the right and left individually and did not make a difference. I reconnected everything after checking out the PC board and now I do get some sound but it is very faint. Works perfect when I use the line input.

Thanks for checking. A good first place to begin is with Polk's CS department at 1-800-377-7655 or via email to polkcs@polkaudio.com. They should be able to provide a circuit schematic which could enable you to get local servicing. Or, you could continue using the line level input, since it functions.
