I have called for reinforcements. I have another friend coming. My brother is already here.
My brother is upstairs demoing the 802 Diamonds as we speak.... I'm sitting in the

The 30% solar federal rebate ends this year. If you can swing the purchase by year end I would do it. Our solar is paying back better than we anticipated. No brainier.

Congrats Joey! Anxiously awaiting the pics of your gorgeous new toys!
Hey, what's the delay? Play-by-play started about five and a half hours ago and still we're seeing nuthin'!! -
I'm exhausted..... the Strads were more difficult to install than I thought. Installing the plates were so difficult... I was about to stab myself with frustration.
The 802 Diamonds were much easier to just plug and play.
Pics tomorrow when I'm not as tired.

D'Oh! Saw that you posted, Joey, and thought the pics were here....
Can you at least tell us that the speakers weren't damaged in transit?
Heck, that packing job looks almost as nice as the job Larry did with my SDA-1Cs last year!! Yes, just almost. -

Heck, that packing job looks almost as nice as the job Larry did with my SDA-1Cs last year!! Yes, just almost.
As far as I can tell, the speakers are basically flawless. The guy did a fantastic job packing. I would say that it is actually better packed that I could've done. I am very impressed. My wife asked me if it was brand new, it was packed that well. Even the "Sonus Faber" tape was reused on the interior packing... it was seriously as if I bought brand new from the dealer.
(EXCEPT I had to set up the speakers myself.... now I know why having a WIlson speaker and having the dealer set up the Wilsons are so clutch...)
Everyone is asleep in the house now, I just went upstairs to admire the new speakers. I have the 802 Diamonds in the gameroom now and as beautiful as the 802 Diamonds are.... I think the Strads look more impressive. My brother who has 804 Diamonds came and mentioned that the Strads look like a true world class classic speaker.
The Strads just look like nothing else around. I can see italian workmanship on this guy.
I'm comparing them side by side to British workmanship...
... both are actually phenomenal.

Hahhaa.... thanks my friend.
I gotta say.... I found something tonight that was far better than even the Strads.
My wife.
I was upstairs setting up the Strads with my brother and my friend... we went from admiring the awesomeness of the 802 DIamonds in my room and then lifting the Strads upstairs and then unpacking and positioning them in their raw spots. The entire process took MUCH longer than I thought especially since I feel like I'm a very seasoned audiophile and I've gone through my share of gear. I expected maybe 90 minutes of unpacking and setup, it took me 4 hours.
My wife, without question or without even asking me for help - took Emma to the mall so she wasn't around roaming the floors with us working, she came back with Emma so they both said hi and checked out the raucus going on, emma touched the Strads, then my wife took Emma downstairs and fed her and bathed her.
By the time I was done and everyone left, Emma was asleep, bathed and fed. As soon as my brother left, my wife walked up to me, hugged me and said...
"I'm glad you're happy."
Just about melted my heart and made me realize again that I am probably one of the luckiest in the world.
I could toss my Strads out the window and still sleep a happy man tonight.
