Is there a sort of Welcome Thread area? If so I can't find it.
I've recently become somewhat of a beginner Audiophile. I grew up with my dad always having nice speakers, at least nice compared to what most people had, but nothing super fancy. After several years of using things like cheap Bose systems I finally stepped into the world of higher end and vintage Audio. In the past 6 months I've gone through more speakers than I can remember but here is a list of what I've had and what I've gone through.
Mission MS50 - Sold
ADS L500 - Sold
Acoustic Research AR-4x - Sold
Polk LS70 - Currently my Main Speakers and Love them
Infinity QB - These are in my office, to large for the space but love the crispness of the tweeter.
Polk S6 - Just a single speaker I picked up.. hoping to find a mate for a smaller kitchen/bedroom system
Polk Audio Monitor 7b - Just got today! I hear great things about these and am excited to put them through the ringer.
As for my setups for the speakers I run.
Kenwood C1 Preamp
Thorens TD145 Turntable with a Micro Acoustics 2002 cartridge
Denon AVR-1707 (I caught my Harman Kardon HK3470 on fire )
all this with the Polk LS70
The Infinity QBs I have on a Kenwood 105VR that I am not a huge fan of, but this system transitions often in the office.
I also have a Denon UD-M30 that I rotate around (I hope to run it with the Polk S6s once I find a mate). Otherwise this might replace the Kenwood in the office that runs the Infinitys.
Anyway, I am constantly picking up new gear and transititioning things. I mostly listen to records, or Spotify on the PC. I have over 300 records, I love Jazz, Funk, Classic Rock, Oldies, Blues, and Soul. Some of my favorite artists are Citizen Cope, America, Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Crusaders, Al Green, Chet Faker, Nilsson, Stevie Wonder, and so many more!
If anyone knows where I can get a single S6 I'd be grateful! Otherwise I hope to learn a lot and make use of this forum!

Yep. They are one of the nicest I've had, but I find the tweeter lacking a little clarity, and I'm sure I'll continue to find ones I enjoy more overtime. What is your favorite you've had in comparison to them?
