I don't understand this thread. Is it about the recent ones? You know, if people don't share the same opinions then don't. Now they don't. And now this thread? Make up your mind. If I am off base, my apologies. if I am not, then make up your mind. Talk about provoking. Wow. Drama.

I took it that the thread was simply a reference to the general lack of activity (or "noise" have you) on the forum.
I have not been involved in any of the threads that people keep referencing, but it seems that about 5-10 people are basically keeping this forum afloat. And I admit that I am not one of them, just too much other crap to do...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

I believe the thought(s) is/are that if you have not made an attempt to actually experience certain activities of hi-fidelity audio (this thread stems from more resolving cables) then please don't try to tell those that have experience in using highly resolving cables how they "should" sound and that "scientifically", the increased cost is not worth the money. Also, some try to convince those that find more/higher resolution, detail, imaging, soundstage, etc. they are "victims" of placebo effect and that what they are experiencing is not reality. Meanwhile, the ones stating this, typically won't even try to use higher end, more resolving cables/equipment to actually test their thoughts on the subject. This, iteself goes against the "scientific" foundation that they are proclaiming and advocating. This is a rediculous thought, in my and many others' opinions.
This idea can be expanded to any/all pieces of audio gear.
The idea of only hearing crickets stems from questions asked towards those that scoff at hearing differences in audio cables (that make it worth spending the amount that reputable companies are asking) and receiving no reply towards the questions asked. The questions were asked 4, 5, and 6 times with no reply. If one is not willing to reply and have a real discussion regarding the audible differences in audio cables, crickets is all one hears (from the scoffers) and there is no teaching/learing going on. If both parties are not willing to really teach or learn something, then all we are left with is crickets. I cannot speak on others' behalf, but I can definitively say that I am not provoking or causing "drama" (although, sometimes I do like having a bit of "fun" with the scoffers, but it truely is in fun with no true ill-intent).

Crickets should not be audible until fall . . .
A sign of nature imbalance or nature restructuring . . .
They are a chirping here in Tucker Ga. at night.. Lighting bugs are far and few
between.. Lots of song birds in the back yard, Chip and Dale are present along with a family of rats with fur coats, intertaining little critters..Some final words,

Would you care to respond (in a meaningful fashion) by answering all of the questions asked of you, @xcapri79 and @kevintomb in the 4 threads? If you would like me to (I'll offer yet again) I'll make a list of them. Please let me know if you need help in finding them, unfortuanately I cannot help answer them for you. We are all looking forward to it very much.

How about this...I post a poll and if the majority votes for xcapri to leave, he leaves forever and asks Ken to delete his account.

Will Keiko ever answer why he continually makes himself look foolish with his juvenile doctored posts?
You are deflecting. Stop and answer the questions asked of you (there is a new one added to the list below your comment).

You may be "Stayin' Alive", but you are certainly not relevant without answering the questions posed to you. That is not my opinion, but a fact. Care to offer something useful for a change? Otherwise, what you offer has no meaning for furthering peoples' audio experiences.
Your citing "scientific facts" has no meaning without giving your experience in what personal observations you have perceived. Without your documented perceived observations, you are just "breathing air", but not really "living". This is the foundation of the "scientific process". How can you proclaim "science is king" without following it's process?
Personally, it is impossible to give you any credibility, and I really really wanted to give you some. You @xcapri79 (and @kevintomb) make it impossible to do so with your "scientific documentation". (I have personally asked you to answer the numerous question in the four threads regarding cables approximately 7 or 8 times now (not including others' requests for answering them).
Since you cannot give us any documented proof that there are no perceived differences in cables, I suggest you take your suggestions for us cable "believers" or "perceivers" and stay the hell away from giving us suggestions. Mind your own business (unless you would actually like to answer some of the questions posed towards you and @kevintomb. It's pretty sad when you both can be drowned out by crickets........

How about we give this whole "can hear, can't hear" debate a rest and move on to more pleasant discussions. "xcapri79" has agreed to take a less confrontational approach to CP participation. So, in this spirit lets put away the verbal knives and pitchforks and get on with why this forum was started; to give people a way to increase their enjoyment of music expressed by Polk Audio products.
Seriously, drop it.
