advice on these 7s

I contacted this guy on the sale of the 7s. Already he said he's willing to negotiate on the price. The missing fiber rings on the surround is from his friend (who owned them originally) doing the epoxy o' magnet deal. I don't know if it was preventative or after they fell off and just tried to center them. Additionally he says the grills are problematic w/ pegs missing on one and the frame upright is broken on another. They are ready to be heard. I'd like to see them at $80 to a $100. Given the problems what should I offer if he calls back ?

Id say your range is fair. Looking at what ad states & pictures. It wouldnt take much to touch those up & look great. With the covers on-who knows. But lets face it. Pictures are deceiving. Or wait it out for better..

What does gluing the magnets have to do with the PR's missing front gasket? It looks like it was removed on purpose, judging by the amount of gasket material still glued to the surround. Possibly a leaking or dried out/splitting PR surround?
Grill pegs can be sourced from Parts Express. You'd have to remove the grill cloth to repair the grill frame properly. I'd wait for a later model that can be upgraded.Home Theater/2 Channel:

So I got a reply already. He's gone down to an even hundred and is only about 12 minutes away just to look at. Dave, good point on why the passive have beauty ring gone and the 6502 looks fine in the one pic, and I have no answer for that.
Waiting for anything better will most likely cost more and be much further away. Do the Peerless tweeters count for something or are they also past their accepted life time ?? Another point is only one side of the cabinets are shown in the pic and I have no idea what they truly look like. I did call Polk and they have drivers in stock but no beauty/ fiber rings.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

I paid $120.00 for mine but they were perfect. Just saying.

Lew, the gaskets are available, but most likely will be dark grey or black. Nothing wrong with the Peerless, some prefer them to 194s and 198s. As long as they both function. I prefer the later models that can be upgraded to 194/198s, but that's my preference.
Those might not be MW6502s.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I recently got a pair of 5's in excellent shape for $60.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
