I'm guessing the pro 9's, we had a discussion about them before.

Bob, if you need a digital cable along with HT's, this one seems like a good deal.

Your still using the Pro 9's aren't ya Rich ?

The 9's were more expensive than the AZ Satori but to me they are awful close and system synergy might decide which floats your boat more. Now if he picked up the 7's I'm gonna be jealous. :)

Nice wire. I use internally bi-wired Pro 9's for my low end and a single run of Pro 11's for the top end. Overkill but no use letting them collect dust in the closet.

I had some extra HT locking nanners as one got broke at the Polkfest I brought them to, but not enough to make them a bi-wire set. When I contacted HT, the new owners said they no longer supply the older terminations.

Nice cables! That's what I've used for years, HT Pro 9+ and Pro 11+. The 9's have locking nanners each end, and the 11's spades and locking nanners.

You should have starting reading from the beginning of this thread. That said, the next one that comes up, just buy it.

It appears the pre of the KW 500 uses 2 military specs tubes....which specific type of tube is this? As usual, my internet search leads me back here. Since I upgraded the tubes of my current Vincent SV 236 integrated I have been quite impressed....and looking to perhaps move up another notch.

I'm not sure of the exact tube MF uses, but it's not interchangeable. They bought up a crap load of military spec tubes, which have a long life span anyway, and use them in all their gear.

The kW 500 uses the 6112 sub-miniature triode with a lifespan of 100,000 hours. It has 8 wire leads, which are soldered to the board. Originally made for missile guidance systems it most closely resembles the performance of the 12AX7.

Musical Fidelity uses different sub-miniature triode tubes in some of their other gear. For example, the Tri-Vista series uses the 6111.

Now that is darn interesting....everything I have read on this integrated make it out to be 'the bomb'.....har, har....har.

The bomb ? I dunno man, but they certainly get their share of rave reviews. My tastes are still with the tri-vista's or maybe the A1008, and like I said, an older 308 is no slouch either. I wouldn't hesitate to give any MF stuff a whirl though.
