Bad channel on amp?

So as I've been hooking up everything in my basement I just tried to use a channel on my krell kav250/a-3 and all I get from the speaker is feedback/static. When I unhook and use a different of the 3 all is well.

I don't know a lot about the amp other than the guy had two of them and passed away. Being a little slow myself when it comes to amps, is it possible that the third channel is bridged for some different operation? Is that even possible if the other two work fine? Any ideas or things to test are appreciated.

It's not bridged I can tell you that much. Other than that it could be a number of things from a cold solder joint to bad output devices.
