Rogue RP-5 Review

GCE,
2 year-old thread… is the honeymoon over, or are you still in love?
I asked for selfish reasons
I’m thinking about digging myself further down the rabbit hole…
I’m wondering if there’ll be a substantial improvement in synergy between the 7 and my Rogue M180 monos Or A lateral move compared to my Cary SLP 98
There’s like ONE review out there on the RP-7 . . . plenty on the 5, and all good I might add
btw, Which preamp did you replace with the 5?.
Any and all input is appreciated! TIAAC Regenerator PS Audio PerfectWave Power Plant 10

Glenn,
The honeymoon is not over. I started out using it for just my records (analog) as it has a very good phono preamp but now I also use it for digital files for my NAS.
I love this preamp. it's very detailed, good separation and a good match with my amps.Anaheim Hills CA,

I'd love to own the RP-5 or the RP-7, either one would do just fine
I think the only real difference between the two is the 7 has a two pair of Balanced Inputs/Outputs.
None the less, "Beautiful piece of Kit"!

I think you’re right!
The huge price difference between the two has me leaning toward the 5
I can’t justify the cost difference for the balanced upgrade

I don't think the 7 has a phono amp but other then the balanced inputs the 7 has the ability to turn off the display that you cannot do on the 5. I do wish I could turn mine off at times.Anaheim Hills CA,
