No, not implying you screwed up....lol. Rogue is certainly a well established company making good sounding gear so I understand the leap of faith. Just thought you might have waited a few months for some reviews to come forth is all. 3500 isn't chump change....to most anyway.
Anyway.....hope it arrives safely and we are jonesin' on the review.HT SYSTEM-

For sure their Hera and Athena get great feedback so that is something to work with....the new stuff hopefully is up there. Still at $3500 I'm sure there is always something to second guess.... unless one has heard all of the $3.5K preamps out there....in their own rig.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2

It should be here tomorrow. I'll start another thread and review it the best I can. But you got to remember this is my 1st Preamp so only the AVR to compare it to. LOLAnaheim Hills CA,

Your jaw will be a permanent fixture on the floor then.

This is what I'm hoping for guys. It seems all in the know keep telling us that an AVR is not the best for music.
Ya know what's funny is that I had no idea I could integrate a 2 channel preamp in an HT setup. If I had of known I would have done this years ago. LOL
The waiting is killing me!!!

Where's the damn preliminary review and the gratuitous picture of the box being stripped of its contents? The Gear... That's what I was thinking after first dates!

Just my personal opinion, but I'd take the MF pre over the W4S any day of the week. 2 totally different sounds. I know I pushed the M6 integrated on someone around here and he still hasn't peeled all the **** off his face.
The p5 should remain a contender even if you never use the added goodies. Will only help re-sale value down the line.
But the Musical Fidelity doesn't have Balance Control (really helpful to center the image) like Parasound.

I'm guessing since this thread was in 2015, the decision was made loooong ago.
Plus, the last three preamps I've had none had balance OR tone controls and I never missed them one bit. -

Agreed. But the Musical Fidelity doesn't have Balance Control (really helpful to center the image) like Parasound.
The balance control would only move the image away from center. Otherwise you have other issues to deal with
