Now that's hard core, pallet jack your rack.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -
I like my rack, and my wife likes my rig
But seriously I use a mini pallet jack to move the rig

Since those composite blocks that I got for free will not do anything to pass the isolation test I think again when I'm in lifting shape to do the spikes on pavers, which I do have. Oh, my 2Bs are dead level center on the bubble. Adding the pavers and spikes might need some adjusting, hopefully not.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

If only all floors were level.... Think about it, sometimes you have to adjust the spikes to get both speakers on the level and on the square.
I dunno, if I had to do that maybe I'd just use 2 pads on one corner!SCompRacer wrote: »And spikes are kewl.
Seeing some of the spikes posted above, I'd agree wholeheartedly! They look like something Batman might carry in his utility belt!my 3.1TLs

Two could be 'too' many...might have to split it in half. A half pad.... lol

My floor is thin carpet over concrete. To move my speakers around I tilt them onto one spike, rotate the speaker and set it down on another spike and rotate again walking the speaker across the room. With two people it may be possible to walk the speaker into position using the composite blocks under the spikes to protect the floor until you get close then tilt the speaker to remove the blocks. My floor required adjustable spikes for leveling and stabilizing. Once set up they are rock solid. A pallet jack would be the ultimate.Mojo Audio Illuminati v3>>Quantum Byte w/LMS>>Rpi/PiCoreplayer>> Starlight 7 USB >> Mojo Audio Mystique v2 SE>>ModWright SWL 9.0 SE Signature>>Hafler DH-500 Amp+ (Musical Concepts Fully Modded)>>

You'll snap a spike if you do it that way, and probably end up with the threaded end stuck in the speaker.
This discussion reminds me why I love my CRS+'s so much. Speakers on stands, stands on spikes!Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -
Yes, depending on the design of the spike it may snap. The spike design that I use has not given me any problems and unless abused will not bend or break.Mojo Audio Illuminati v3>>Quantum Byte w/LMS>>Rpi/PiCoreplayer>> Starlight 7 USB >> Mojo Audio Mystique v2 SE>>ModWright SWL 9.0 SE Signature>>Hafler DH-500 Amp+ (Musical Concepts Fully Modded)>>

I'll agree the mini pallet jack is one smart thing to have. I on the other hand for my former rack I made a rolling platform out of 1" ply and casters. Of course I painted it w/ my world famous flat black from H.D. and it worked great to get at the rear to rewire. My black behemoth now has it's own casters so I retired the platform until I see a 5 shelf glass rack.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E
