Does anyone use a Tube amp with SDA's?

I am really kicking around buying a YAQIN MC-100B intergrated Stereo Tube amp.
Does anyone have thoughts good and bad on using that with my speakers?
I have heard Canadian HI-fi is a good dealer?

I don't know about that integrated, but plenty of folks including myself have used tube amps with SDA's.

I've heard good things about that amp as well. And I run a Chinese made tube amp on SDAs with good results (a Jolida along with their tube CD player-a few years and still ticking).

The prices on those amps is REALLY falling! Tubes and SDAs is kinda a no brainer.

I'm currently trying out a Rogue Cronus Magnum (KT120) integrated with the 1.2's in the den and I'm liking it a lot. It's a different sound than I'm used to with the Sunfire - details pop out in unexpected places and bass is not as tight - but it's VERY involving. Not sure what I'll do at this point. Keep the Rogue here if I had to guess.

Thanks for all the comments. I have always wanted one, and to not try it, well I am not going to be around forever and the concern was with the common ground and the limited power but the power is different with tubes somewhat?
Canadian HI-fi I heard is a good dealer a warranty and a through check out before you buy from them.

I have the Yaqin ms30l its hooked to the Monitor 11's & its total bliss on alot of music i listen to such as Clapton Santana piano/instrumental & more. I have wanted to try them on the 1c's but it sounds so good on the 11's. I wouldnt hesitate to try. There are a few here that have that amp & for the price its a great foot in door to tubes

So I have used my MC100B with my SDA SRS 2.3's and they sounded really sweet with plenty of slam. I currently use my Parasound P5 and A21. Tubes and SDA's sound great together but my Parasound rig gets the nod... for about 4x the price.

Sorry, I meant I have no experience with that piece, but plenty with other tube gear.

So Randy you think it would be (ms30L) enough power for the 1C. Is it common ground?

I have not checked. I heard somewhere it could be used & its has enough power to do the job. Ive never been above 9:30 with it since ive owned it. I can easily try it out & get back to you.Take me 2 mins to try. Let me get back to you tonight after a hour of listening

Another option you can consider is a solid state amp and a tube pre-amp, that's what I do. I have a Krell KAV-2250 amp, solid state, paired with Dared MC-7P. I love it.

thats what i want to do with my Denon POA-2200 ive heard nothing but good there

Well hooked up the 30L & 30A tube cd player & cheesy Arrow Red Cables (soon to be gone) & listened to Eagles & was floored. Sounds sweet. Brought the dial up to 10:00 around 90dbs+ with burst on iphone meter. Plenty of power. Bass seemed better on the 1c's. Rd0's sound excellent. Focused tones. Very nice. I almost think i may keep it set up like this for awhile i have not rolled tubes in this yet & with stock ones it sounds very good. I have other tubes to roll but ive been enjoying the stock ones too much to mess with it yet....
The 1c's were hooked to Denon POA2200 @ 200+ wpc@8ohm with a Denon DRA1200 preamp w/mit speaker cables-bjc ic's.... One thing to note. The other Yaqins may have meter to adjust tubes. The 30L you need meter. I wish i had bought this when i first started this hobby. Best purchase yet-besides cables

What I want to get to or at least really try out is an all analog system consisting of Turntable, tube phono preamp and tube preamp/amp and SDA's. I know it sounds nuts but it's something I've been wanting to do.

It starts getting substantially more complicated when you have multiple pieces of tube gear. You get into synergy issues very quickly. Too much of a good thing can be a problem. Many find it is more than adequate to just get one piece of tube gear in somewhere in the chain, and the preamp to me has always seemed like the logical place to do it. Having a solid state preamp provides all the bass slam you'd want, but with the tube warmth from the preamp. Great combination.

Plenty of power for 1C's and my SRS 1.2TL's as well. It's common ground. Excellent sound quality for the money.

I have the MC100b along with Marvin & Mikey & Faustin who is selling his in the FM. think he near Chicago. it is a 70lb brute. I've powered my monitor 10's & CRS's with it and really like this thing. It uses KT88's

My approach has been to use an older Classe Model 25 solid state amp. Comes pretty close to the tube qualities I like and avoids those I don't. Actually, very similar to a Sonic Frontiers Power 2 tube amp I have which uses 6550 or KT88 tubes. That tube amp isn't a common ground design.

I hook my meter to both the of the Negative binding post and it read 000.1 which if I am doing it right should make it common ground. also Mikey has used this amp with his SDA 2.3's I sure I had used it on my CRS+'s but I have them dismantled right now and can not recheck it. -> this was on my MC100B

Yes the 100B is common ground. MC10L, 20L, 30L, MC10T are as well.

Well FWIW, I ended up keeping the tube pre/solid state amp combo with the SRS1.2's as in my sig. Just really hard to beat the Sunfire Sig II's 625w@8, 1250w@4 on the big boys with the lovely Belles pre. Authoritative, tight bass and better detail on top (this is an otherwise warm rig). Had a bit of smearing and ringing with the Cronus there.

BUT, the Cronus-Maggie 1.6 pairing is a glorious jazz rig (sans subwoofer). I will need to give some thought to how to best use that combo. Wishing the Cronus had a HT bypass. (sigh)
