Alternative to Armaflex?

Would this be a good alternative to Armaflex tape? It seems like its a very similar product, but it is a large sheet vs the 2" wide roll. http://www.amazon.com/Sponge-Neoprene-With-Adhesive-Thick/dp/B001GAD5G4#Ask

Armacell/Armaflex is highly compressible, which is why we use it. Who knows how compressible the neoprene sheet is. I'd hate to see you spend money on the sheet, only to find out it's too spongy or not compressible enough. You want the new gasket to flatten out completely, so the woofers or PR are making direct contact with the front baffle.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Agreed. I wouldn't screw around, use the Armacell. Form it into a gasket, and when you tighten the screws down DO NOT over-tighten. Under-tighten. Rotate the screws until you feel a little resistance and then stop. Let the Armacell compress for 24 hours, then come back and tighten some more, but you still shouldn't apply too much pressure. You will notice that the second time the screws are considerably looser because the Armacell has compressed so much. Wait another 24 hours and then tighten more. You may need to repeat this 4 times before you're done. If you tighten the screws to much without giving the Armacell time to compress you will bend the driver or the passive radiator. Patience is a must here, but that Armacell will compress to the point where it is paper thin if you do this correctly.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Makes sense, I'm just starting to modify my 1As, I just installed some RD-0194 tweeters and am gonna start getting all the supplies ready for the overhaul. Hey Dave I still have the quotes you gave me, I'll be contacting you pretty soon for the crossover rebuild.
