Monitor 7C or RTE600?

I just picked up some RTE600 (as well as some RT25i's) in great shape as part of a very good deal and was thinking of replacing my 7's in my bedroom just to have a smaller footprint. The 7's are a little large for the space I have them in.
I tried out the 600's on a few songs and a movie, and they have detailed highs and mid's, but the bass is a little boomy. I have them about a foot from the back wall, so based on what I read, I don't think that should be an issue.
The soundstage and imaging on the 7's is better, and the bass is stronger and not boomy at all. The 7's have the SL2500 tweeters and I really like them. I have only heard the SL2000 and the Peerless, so don't have a big basis for comparison, but I like the SL2500's the best of those three. And yeah, I know that most prefer the Peerless.
Has anyone else compared the two models?
In any case, smaller footprint or not, I think the RTE600's will end up back on Craigslist and the 7's in my system.
