Replacing them all. If one broke I'm afraid the others might also and if I'm gonna replace one might as well do them all.

If you want to DIY, I'm not sure how hard it is, but I believe VR3 and Wesmassguy both do that upgrade. I didn't know if the crossover was attached to the cup holding the binding posts. I just ordered 8 new posts from Amazon. They weren't to awful expensive.

Should be pretty easy P-Man. Most SDA owners have done it with no problems. There should be quite a few threads on how to do it (for SDA's in general, including the 3.1TL's)
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Kinda curious on how to fix it IF your not going to replace it ? Is there such a method & what would that be ?..

The Binding Post Cup connects to the Crossover via Molex Type connectors. Disconnect them, remove the four screws on the back, and remove the Cup. The wires connect to the Binding Posts via Crimp Ring Connectors. Remove the Hot Glue, and Use a Nut Driver to remove the nuts. You new Binding Posts may or may not fit through the Ring Connectors. You can replace them with new Crimp Ring Connectors, or Solder the wires directly to the Binding Posts.
The back of the Cup should look something like this:

Thats to replace them correct ? If they keep turning & not tightening up-does that mean they need to be replaced ? Are there other ways to keep existing post & repair methods ? Reason i ask is ive heard this before & wondered..

Thanks very much for your reply. Looks pretty straight forward.
I think this old pumpkin can handle it.

In my case the plastic nut is stripped. I have no desire to replace the one with an OEM binding post. A quick Google let me a video on how to remove the hot glue. This doesn't look to hard to do. I'll post some pics that is as long as I'm successful.

The hot glue will pop right off with a 1/2" wood chisel, and pull the rest off with needle nose pliers. It's old.Home Theater/2 Channel:

If those are nylon insert lock nuts you can find them at Ace or True Value hardware.
Bring one of the good ones and fit them to the sample bolts they have for checking size and if they are metric or standard.
Throw a little blue Loctite on the thread and your home.

Indeed! One of the best works of art that I know of! (Relayer!) Also, Tales From Topographic Oceans IS The BEST, IMO! I am glad you enjoy them as well!
Also (and more importantly), regarding removal of the teflon (or nylon) screws. as drumminman (Fred) has pointed out; rubbing alcohol is a great example. Placing rubbing on the screws (nylon/teflon) and leaving it there for a couple minutes will loosen the alcohol and then using whatever screw size (metric or standard) wrench will remove the screws.
Should be golden after that.

You've got to use more hot glue than that and you need to cover the pin/blade connections.Political Correctness'.........defined

Ok Mr. Nut but why ?? Whey I took the 2nd one out there was no hot glue at all on that one.

Why leave the pin/blade connector? SpeakONs with a new interconnect made with your favorite flavor Speaker Wire, would be much better.
The old pin/blade sockets are not air tight. You can blow air right through them. If you're leaving them, then apply a liberal coating of hot glue around and on top of the rear connections.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Maybe I'll make an aluminum plate to replace the plastic cup. Any suggestions ??

Nothing wrong with the original cup. Remove the pin/blade, enlarge the hole, and install the SpeakON. Seal around it with the hot glue, and slather some more on the binding post nuts where they meet the plastic cup.Home Theater/2 Channel:
