I know Vanilla is here to stay, but I thought one of the main reasons for switching to Vanilla was to be able to share a post on your Twitter and Facebook pages. I'm on my tablet now, so I don't know how to do it, but when I'm on my computer, I often inadvertantly pass my pointer over something and an annoying popup appears enabling you to share a post. Is there a way to shut off that feature because it really is annoying. I'd like to see a show of hands for the people who have actually used that feature. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Perhaps you'd like to share this post.
The one time I tried the share thing to see how it worked, it didn't. Haven't tried it since.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Can we fix stuff first before considering enhancements?

The stats on the main page are just plain f'd up - time stamps and most recent post status is just wrong.

I just click on "Recent Posts" -- the s/w's algorithm to decide what is and isn't 'recent' is kind of chaotic, but it gets one in the ballpark. I don't think I've ever looked at "most recent post status".

As to time stamps, I thought that one could set one's own time zone under one's profile, no? On the old VBulletin Polk forum, the time stamps I saw on my post were something arbitrarily goofy, GMT (more accurately, CUT), if memory serves (i.e., four or five hours ahead of EDT/EST respectively).

The problem I am seeing is not the inability to set time zones but the matching of times to names *and* threads in each respective sub-section to what one sees on the main page.

If someone is using the main page to see if there is a "Latest" update, then all three attributes for time, poster, and thread should match to the respective sub-forum where that thread resides.

They don't - so using the main page for a status is currently meaningless.

I guess that's the piece I don't understand (or, more accuarately, appreciate) -- I don't know why one would do that.

If you use the main page as the first page to see what is going on at Club Polk and you see a thread in the "Clubhouse" section and it is titled...oh..say..."Up the Flagpole" - and on the right hand side you see that I have the Latest Post at 3:15pm West coast time - and you want to see what I've posted.

Yet, when you click on the Clubhouse Sub-forum, you see that the latest post is by me in a completely different. thread for "What are you listening to now" at 3:15pm.

The stats....don't....match...so then what is the point of having them? They are misleading.

OK I sort of get it -- this is what I see vis-a-vis your test, which received replies at 5:09 PM (EDT) and 6:12 PM (EDT).

and this is what appeared moments later on the top page, which appears to have the current time stamp (or perhaps the time stamp for the latest post, which at least in this case wasn't the actual latest post)...

Hmm -- the post above, at 6:19 pm (EDT) is showing up, as I type this, as the latest post in this sub-forum.

Since we seem to be writing to Santa Claus :) here, maybe ask them if the software can block people with fewer than 100 posts from viewing items in the Flea Market (assuming that has not been discussed yet? Mea culpa if it already has...)
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Eric you are NOT wasting everyone's time. The problem has been going on for about a week now and it's annoying as all hell.

Right, using the main page for status is SO easy. When it was working, there's no need to click recent posts. In fact, I've never clicked on that.
