FS: Vintage Technics SA-500 AM/FM Stereo Receiver - Super Clean.

FS: One Vintage (circa 1978) Technics SA-500 AM/FM Stereo Receiver with a real nice phono stage and a great headphone amp.

Top slides off for easy access to the internals. This is in great shape. Seriously. Gave it a spray with some deoxit just to be sure that you're getting a noise free and fully functional piece of equipment. I never had any issues with it.

All the lights work. Fully functioning.

55 real watts per channel. Main & remote speaker outputs, LED output display, silver face w/ wood on the top and sides.

Will be packed very well for shipping & local pickup is always welcome.

Asking $165 + shipping + paypal (3% if non-gift).

Looks like a nice clean unit. A nice starter for a "vintage" system.

Get an old Technics TT and a couple of old Polk Monitors or the like and you're in business!

The SA-500 (at least the one that passed through here) has a rather unique feature -- a good quality AM section! It's one of the few 1970s receivers I've ever encountered that could readily receive weak AM stations with even its built in antenna.
