Daredevil on Netflix binge

Anyone else planning to binge on Matt Murdock and the Kingpin this weekend? I am looking forward to the "gritty" nature of it, as opposed to the general release movies from Marvel. Which I love, I just think a change might be nice.

I love to binge watch, did any of you guys watch Loui? It was the best comedy I have seen in years. Another show to catch is, an idiot abroad, super funny!

I did finish my DD binge today already. Very good series. Wouldn't have made a great movie because it needed a longer time for characterization but was great as a TV series. -

I didn't notice the speakers, drselect. Now I feel like I have to go back and find them. With his money, I assume they weren't Monitor 30's

telemike, I thought it was very good. Much darker than the movie, though. You will know after one or two eps. if you like the style and characters.

Watched the first episode last night, never like reading the Daredevil comics when I was a kid but this looks good so far.

Did any one catch what type of speakers Kingpin has in his Condo?
They appeared to B & W 800 Diamonds. Have no idea what the subs were, but probably B & W as well.

Thanks for the reply D_M and it does appear as they are the B&W. Not only does it look like subs but it looks like some type of center unless that is some type of amp or source.

Bye the end of the season I began to wonder if they should have called the show Kingpin instead of Daredevil. They did a very good job of getting me to empathize with the Kingpin character. Even when he was killing people they did a good job of making it feel he was justified in his action.

I read that, because it was so popular, Netflix is now planning a second season of it, which was not originally intended. There are going to be 3 more series featuring different characters and then they all combine in a 4th season called The Defenders (a la The Avengers but on a smaller scale).
The next installment this year will be Jessica Jones, a character I am not familiar with. Then next year Iron Fist and Power Man will each get their own series. Then they all combine in The Defenders.
I am not sure how they will shoehorn a second season of Daredevil in there, but I look forward to it anyway. -
What I don't like about what marvel is planning is the fact that the Daredevil was never a Defender.

Iron Fist will probably be the most "out there" storyline. -

Yes, he teamed with them but I don't think he was ever part of the "official" lineup.
The best DD stories, however, were from the Frank Miller run, especially the Elektra "saga". I expect the second season to at least introduce her. -

Agents of Shield is definitely not as good as DD, but the second season improved a lot. Still not my favorite show by any means, but it is much better as it approaches the second season finale than the way it started out.
