Like I used to say and maybe see if I copied right I could name the these bands easier than the ones I've seen.
The Doors-- I had a chance at the old Singer Bowl but reports of rioting prevailed
Janice Joplin
Billy Joel
Elton John
Widespred panic
Cowboy Junkies
Martina McBride
Linda Ronstadt
Eagles
I finally saw The Moody Blues so there off the bucket list. Now my listing of the big shows and bands I've seen through the years w/ venues was just from memory. This was taken off the Dozin Dead site a while back. This here is what I would call a no dementia zone.

Had a chance at Pink Floyd with Roger Waters and skipped it. Still regret it. Stones on 30th tour, but I thought they were too old then, little did I know there would be a 50th. Same for the Who. I got to see the original Who. They headlined the show which the Grateful Dead opened and the Who Played rings around them. I also saw Led Zep @ MSG and was not all that impressed. I think it was when they found out that their saftey deposit box was robbed at The Plaza Hotel of all their gate for this round of shows. I would easily take James Brown over MJ any day.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

I was 14 when the tragic deaths at the Who concert in Cincy happened. Was supposed to go to that one but my Mom wouldn't let me. Thanks Mom!
-
I remember hearing about that one in Cincy, we almost had that happen at a Kiss concert. tons of lost shoes but none died luckily. After that there was no more General admission. tried to hold onto my younger sister but just like that so was gone, finally after a long wait she made in the door.
Pink Floyd stands out as the most I wish i could have seen in person.2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge

I'm pretty certain nobody here cares but I saw GWAR one year before the lead singer died. I feel lucky to have gone when I did.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

WC, don't apologize,it's just to bad. Some of the names I never heard of and just Google'd Eva Cassidy W/o hearing what she sounds like is certainly easy on the eyes. I did see the original Fleetwood Mac and were very intense and to be quite honest the British blues bands were my favorite genre for some time before I got into the Dead, Airplane and Quicksilver and the total S.F. sound.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

I have been lucky enough to have seen the Stones 4 times, the Who 3 times (one of 3 while Moon was still alive) and Led Zep the one time. Jimi Hendrix is # 1on my list of any musicians or groups I wish I could have seen. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

What do you mean just because? They were a very important band to an entire genre and had and still have influence on bands today. I can't believe I forgot that one on my short list. Nevermind The Bullocks is an incredible album.

I passed on Led Zeppelin in Minneapolis in '75, because the guys I would've gone with were doing acid and then driving home. Call me crazy but I still regret not going. Yes with Rick Wakeman, same guys, same story. Could've seen Frank Zappa in '85 but went back to school and I think I had finals or something the next day, whatever. Very much regret it. Too young for Hendrix and Beatles. MC5. Cream. And I'll go with mrbiron, I would've liked to see Rage Against The Machine, (although I've seen Morello a few times.)

Wish I had gone with my sister and her friends to see the Monkees.
Hendrix opened for them.
Tickets were $4. Their chaperon thought about hustling them out when she saw the wild opening act. heheb]Beach Audio[/b]: Rega RP6 (mods) - AT33PTG/II - Parks Budgie SUT - PSAudio NPC * Eversolo DMP-A6 * Topping D90iii * Joule-Electra LA-100 mkIII * Pass Aleph 30 * MIT S3 * Polk SRS 2.3tl (mods) * PSAudio PPP3

As the story goes obviously Jimi blew the Monkees away and he was quickly thrown off the tour just because he was from another planet. I did see him at his best and sorry to say his decline also.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

Buddy Rich
Gene Krupa
Frank Sinatra - just finished watching the HBO special. What a musician!
Ella Fitzgerald - still IMHO the best female voice in popular music

Louis Armstrong
Count Basie
Jeff Beck's Truth band - the great Micky Waller on drums"Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -

Good Call on Louis Armstrong. My Dad saw him in Canada.
I'll add one that I forgot, Jimmy Durante.
My Dad saw him and talked about it to me years later!

The Stones are coming to Columbus, OH on 5/30/15. We are lucky to be one of the 15 stops on their US tour. Unfortunately I leave on vacation for Maui on the 30th. Sometimes life is just not fair....lol.The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
