I picked up an Apple Watch Series 4 last night, going against my stance on only using mechanical watches.

If I do keep it, then I'm debating if I'll keep or sell my Seiko 5 Sports SNZF15J2. It's a lovely watch, but I'm not sure if it's necessary to keep in my watch case for the sake of occupying a spot in it.

I may put out a feeler on the For Sale section, but let me know if there's any interest here. If I do sell it, it'll be complete in the box with the original and unused silicone strap, some NATO straps, and possibly the blue leather strap.

    Disregard; I’m keeping it :)

Here’s a Vacheron from the 70s. The prior one is from the 60s. The watch on the left is an Omega Seamaster from the 70s.

There is something about those older watches, simple, discreet and beautiful. No huge amounts of bling

Thanks, Joe. I bought it on eBay (not a good idea) and sent it over to the Omega repair center in Switzerland. They made it good as new with all original Omega parts. I guess I’m living in the past but I like vintage watches, stereos and cars.

    Delightfully tacky, yet unrefined.

Ah yes, the mechanisms are imported for sure, the leather bits are fabricated here as well as the final assembly.

Lol! I was actually taken aback when they announced the name a few years back. Since then, the brand has certainly taken off! They sell everything from watches, leather goods, even bicycles, and, TT's! :)

I'm a big fan of chronograph watches. I've had several Invictas, and think they are really great for the prices you can get them for. The most I've paid for one is a little over $100. They look and feel much more expensive than that. As I like to say, I have a champagne taste on a beer budget.

I've always wanted a nice solar powered watch, as well as a Seiko. I purchased this one in January and it's my new favorite. The box says it's msrp is $425 and I paid $199 on Amazon.

I'm not much of a gold fan and much prefer silver, but I think the two-tone is a classy look.

Love the face/bezel combo there Rick. Not normally a 2 tone fan either but it works with that one. Nice purchase.

I've been helping my dad clean out some stuff at his house, and found a stash of old random watches. Most are cheap crap, but I found a couple of interesting ones.

Here's a Russian military watch made by a company named Vostok. It's the paratrooper version.
    w96l0rd7evco.jpg
I was surprised it is a mechanical wind-up with a screw-on crown. It runs great, and is in great cosmetic shape - not a single scratch on the crystal. The band is a replacement...need to find a better one.

Also found this old Seiko. It's a model 6105-8000.
    konstb2jweks.jpg
Clearly in rough shape, and it's not running. I can feel/hear something moving around inside. Research indicates these are pretty valuable if running, so I'll look into getting it repaired.

My all time sentimental fave! When the Mrs and I first started dating, she bought a matching his/hers set of these one Christmas! Movado Museum Esperanza. Nowadays big huge chunks of metal are all the rage, but these slim beauties are well, elegant! Stock pic, mine is upstairs in closet, battery dead, on a shelf dedicated to my watch collection! :) I have no idea where hers is!

Little love to MICKEY. My wife reminded me I still have this little gem. Never worn and harder and harder to come by. Seiko. Gifted to me when I played DW back in the mid 90's with my old Beatles Tribute. Looking now how beautiful it was crafted. I knew I still had it just don't see myself wearing it . Rethinking that now. 🐁

(See how I kept a tad of Audio in this post) 😄🎩
