I have a dozen or so Tissots (a few of the MotoGP limited racer editions, a few chronos from the sport line, a black Valjoux, a black Courturier and 3 or 4 from the classic line), 2 Tags (black faced Aquaracer and a Grand Carrera Caliber 36), an Omega (black face Speedmaster '57), a Rolex Submariner Date in black/steel (bought this one with the money my step mom left me when she passed away...she always loved my dad's Submariner and left a note that I should buy myself something that I can pass on to my kids) and about another dozen randoms that aren't really notable.

I have a pocket watch too but it doesn't match my monocle or my top hat.

I have a Breitling Super Ocean I bought back in 2006ish. Great watch and something I can wear with jeans and a t shirt, or a nice suit. I'll dig up a picture at some point.

Hah! So much easier to get right than audio gear. Always looks good and no having to tweak them or get them in the right room.

Was looking at breitling before but don't have one.

I have 5 watches I rotate through. Nothing earth shattering and I would love to have something like audemar or Richard Mille someday.

Watches are cool, love learning about them and even though the young people today don't think they need them since they can look at their cell phones or smart phones for the time, watches are still going to be around for a long time.

Not watches so much (the cool ones are too 'spensive)... but we have a few things that tick and tock.

Yeah I don't have pocket watches.

My favorite watch is the blue tag heuer silverstone that I have pictured. My other 4 have recently taken a back seat.

Thought so. My BMW dealer and the Mercedes dealer share a space right now while the new BMW space is being built.
I was oogling a C400 the other day while getting my summer wheels put on.

But I still prefer my Bavarians. Just personal preference.

Enough of the thread jack though.

I am favoring the Speedmaster more than anything right now...the traditionalist in me loves the classic round faces.

    2x4tvy7bftxo.jpg

Of course now I want to go visit my jeweler and see if they have anything interesting in stock. I also have a buddy who has a jewelry shop down in Deltona, FL who gives me first crack at any exceptional deals he comes across...it is how I picked up most of the Tissots except the classic in titanium my wife got me as a wedding gift.

PFB, in actuality this is a rather tame thread compared to other sites where ostentatious displays of wealth are celebrated. As the saying goes, "A fool and his money are soon separated."

Hey you can either choose to post in our thread or not, you don't have to put people down.

This coming from a guy with a Porsche as their avatar?

Come on now. If you don't like it then don't post. I try not stir the pot when you post your shipping threads. You don't see me poking fun at you.

And if you didn't already know, this whole forum is a display and sharing of luxury. You honestly think that the majority of the US spends $500 or more on speakers? People are looking into separates and other gear that we have on this site? People actually have multiple LSiM speakers in their room?

No. We've even had threads here where people were asked to enumerate how much money has been spent in their system. If that's not a display of wealth - I don't know what is.

All of us enjoy different things - and this forum is the "clubhouse" so anything goes.

So, thanks for ruining our thread, we had a good thing going until you took a dump in it. Why don't you keep your drama in your own threads PFB?

Back to our regularly scheduled thread...

And lastly - on other sites, no one cares if you post a watch pic behind a bentley or a lambo... everyone there is secure with themselves that they don't feel any hate for other's success. Myself? I can appreciate it and love to see how other more successful people are doing than myself. Love to be put in my place.

Yeah, but that Omega Speedmaster is nice. That's a very nice pic you got there. Is that yours? I have a chrono of my own, I'm not wearing it right now though.

Victornex Swiss Army Watches are what I rock, The one on the left is for fishing hunting, anything that screams outdoors, along with the pocket watch, the one on the right is for fancy times when I cant wear something Camoflauge and boots. I guess you could say its my Marrying and Burying watch, a little to fancy for me, but does get worn on occasion.

For those of us who appreciate a nice watch, this thread is interesting. I love seeing what other people have, as its an idea generator for what I might want next. You also end up seeing some pretty unique time pieces.

I own ONE decent watch, and it was the second or third cheapest model Breitling put out in 06ish. You've probably had more value in imaginary gear "damaged by UPS" than I put into that watch. Hell there are plenty of folks here with more invested in cables than we do our watches.

So save your trolling for your own vapid threads, and let the big boys have their watch discussion in peace PFB.

I can't take credit for the photo. A friend of mine is an insanely good photog (his first degree was in photo journalism and then he went on to become a lawyer) and was the one who shot it.

My wife wants us to look at the Grand Cherokee for towing a small trailer for track days. We have a friend who has an Overland and she fell in love with it.
Nice ride...Chrysler is doing well with it and targeting the right market.

A buddy of mine is a watch collector and a hobby horologist (I made home a fantastic cocobolo plinth for his jewelers lathe) and buys high end watches in need of repair and fixes them to fund his audio hobby.
He keeps some of the nicer ones and has a couple worth more than all of mine combined. He even owns multiple auto winders...It is sickening really. Hehe
